Haiti International Pageants
The two day gala event started off fabulously with the arrival of Hermanie Pierre Miss Haiti International 2012 and the Executive Director. Our Mrs. contestants met on Friday, March 15th for orientation and attended a fundraiser at the community event “Big Night” in Little Haiti, Fl. Magnum band was also playing for the event. All Mrs., Miss and Miss Teen Haiti contestants have a chance to promote their platform at the event and explore some of the best Haiti craft artists that was also part of the event.
Saturday, March 15th, The Executive Director, Ms. Hermanie Pierre met with the contestants and judges for a one on one interview and started the competition with a great time talking about their platforms and the work they are doing in their communities. The contestants had volunteered for more than 2000 hours of community service this year. Later that day, the contestants met with the director for rehearsals for opening number and pageant staging at North Miami senior High School Auditorium. Family and Friends cheered on all of the contestants. The fast pace of the pageant kept moving as the contestants gave a 30 second presentation about their platforms followed by an on stage questions. The Mrs. Delegates competed in physical fitness in aerobic wear competition and evening gown escorted by their husbands. The Teen and the Miss contestants did a fun fashion show with some awesome outfits to show their personalities. They finished the first half of the show in their fitness competition in a two piece aerobic wear from competitive image. Evening gown started after intermission with the contestants. We also have many celebrities guest perform at the pageants. They had: Sifrael (comedian and actor), Huberman ( comedian and actor), Jean Gardy Bien Aime ( actor and producer), Louineslouinis dance group, Rhino G and Vip Group ( R&B singers and Gazzman couleur (singer). With all phases of competitions finished, the score sheets were turned into the tabulator for the final results. The excitement was building in anticipation of the outcome. Who would be the next Haiti International titleholders?
The First Mrs. Haiti International 2013 is Nedjy Jean charles. She won congeniality, online voting, Most selling tickets award. She represented St Marc and resides in Fort Pierce, Fl. The country competition was March 15-16 at the North Miami Senior High School Auditorium. The 1st alternate, Edna Aurelus, Mrs. Fort Jacques Intl from Arizona, was The winner of best evening gown winner, 2nd Alternate Natacha Kalicharan from Fl, 3rd Alternate Marie Wingo, from GA. The People’s Choice award went to Tamarah Michel, Miss Teen L’artibonite and Community service award goes to Diana Pierre Louis Miss Teen St Marc
The new Miss Haiti International 2013 Norna Augustave from GA, attends Georgia State, majoring in public policy concentration in public management she represented St Louis, Haiti. First Alternate was Joanne Gaillard, Miss Aux Cayes, Haiti from conneticut, 2nd Alternate Lencie Planchard Miss Jean Rabel, Haiti.
First Miss Teen Haiti International 2013, Lydia Lucien represented Pignon, Haiti. 1st Alternate Brittney Alexis, represented Miss Teen Cap-Haitian Intl 2nd Alternate Tamarah Michel , Miss Teen L’artibonite Intl. 3rd Alternate Diana Pierre Louis, Miss Teen St Mark Intl, from Fl 4th Alternate was Esther Lande, Miss Teen La Perle des caraibes Intl.
The pageants are dedicated to community service. We were honored to have all performers and specially Dr. Fougere as our special guests for the weekend.
It was a great event. The Teen and Miss Contestants competed in interview, fashion runway, physical fitness and evening gown. Each contestant has a platform issue that they promote in their communities. The new titleholders competed at national this past July in Chicago at the North Shore Center. Thank you for your support.
